When Koch Business Solutions decided to open a satellite office in Reno, Nevada, they only had one employee, Kevin, and a desperate need to fill the team with some talented IT peeps.
So instead of putting out classified ads in the Reno paper, we decided to make Kevin the hero of his own campaign. With the main message of “Save Kevin,” we created a microsite and videos of the real Kevin trying to survive in his natural habitat, an empty Reno office. Bold and unconventional messaging riddled with pop culture references worked to attract young talent from Silicon Valley. As did the design and placement of the ads on Pandora and social media.
